Mandalore the Indomitable, known as Mandalore to both enemies and allies, was a male Taung who led the Mandalorian Clans as a warlord before and during the Great Sith War. In 3996 BBY, Mandalore the Indomitable marched his Mandalorian Crusaders into Tetan space, thinking that multiple campaigns had weakened the seven worlds of the Empress Teta system, which were ruled by a dark side society known as the Krath. The Krath military's leader, Sith Lord Ulic Qel-Droma, was confronted next, and as a result, Mandalore the Indomitable swore a personal oath of fealty to him and promised to use his Mandalorian army to support the Sith forces.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Along with the Krath sorceress Aleema Keto, Mandalore supported Qel-Droma in his mission to subdue the Jedi Order and take control of the galaxy. Together, they assisted Qel-Droma in organizing an assault on Coruscant, the capital of the Republic. Following Qel-Droma's capture by the Jedi during the battle, Mandalore discovered that Qel-Droma had been betrayed by the cunning Keto, who intended to take full control of the Krath forces using Qel-Droma's capture as an opportunity. Mandalore paid lip service to Keto but, recalling the pledge he took to Qel-Droma on Kuar, went in search of Qel-Droma's accomplice and master, the Dark Lord of the Sith Exar Kun, in the hope that Kun would aid in Qel-Droma's escape from Coruscant's jail. Finding Kun on the moon of the forest Yavin 4, Mandalore called upon the Sith Lord for assistance. After arriving at the Republic capitol with Kun, Mandalore saw the release of Qel-Droma from the war crimes trial by Kun and his Massassi men.

While he and Kun led an attack on the Jedi stronghold of Ossus, Qel-Droma, grateful for Mandalore's loyalty, gave his Mandalorian warlord a special task: while the Sith Lords were occupied attacking Ossus, Mandalore was to lead the majority of his warriors in a massive assault against the Republic world of Onderon. The defending Beast Riders, headed by Beast-Lord Oron Kira, stopped the invading forces throughout the conflict, forcing the Mandalorians to retire to Dxun, the jungle moon of Onderon, despite their first offensive successes. When Mandalore broke away from his troops during the retreat, he discovered that a number of Dxun-native predators surrounding him. They attacked him, and Mandalore died as a result. the Indomitable; but, one of his Taung troops discovered his mask and claimed to be the new Mandalore.

After completing the assault on Foerost and receiving Kun's grudging consent, Mandalore, Keto, and Qel-Droma readied themselves for the Coruscant invasion. Mandalore and Qel-Droma succeeded in persuading the Republic that the Republic jump station at Kemplex Nine was the Krath's next target by leaving behind a hologram that had false information about their plans. While Fleet Captain Vanicus led the majority of the Republic fleet to Kemplex Nine, Mandalore led his Crusaders, Qel-Droma, and the Krath in a surprise attack against Coruscant.

With the Republic fleet en route to Kemplex Nine, Krath starships and Mandalorian Basilisk war droids besieged Coruscant, leaving the planet essentially helpless. Not even Mandalore or Qel-Droma knew that there was a large Jedi group on Coruscant under the command of Master Vodo-Siosk Baas. The Mandalorian Crusaders were overwhelming Galactic City, but the Jedi put up a strong defense against them despite being vastly outnumbered. In spite of this, Mandalore and his Crusaders succeeded in driving the Jedi back to a more favorable location. While Qel-Droma and Keto attacked the main Republic military command center, Mandalore led his Crusaders in carrying on the battle in Coruscant's streets.
