General Information Body Paragraph: Planet Ossus is a planet in the Adega System of the Auril Sector along the Perlemian Hyperspace Route. It was the site of a Jedi Academy and the Great Jedi Library - Commissioned by Jedi Master Odan-Urr and served as the largest known collection of information. The planet is covered in lush vegetation with thriving wildlife. It was covered in mountains, hills, forests and more natural wonders. Once inhabited with many species, the only native species left are the Ysanna - sentient, base-line humans which are force-sensitive. 

History/Background Body Paragraph: Around 25000 BBY, a Jedi Academy was established on the planet and Ossus became a part of the Galactic Republic. Later, around 12000 BBY, the Jedi parted ways with the Republic and retreated to planet Ossus for many centuries to come. In 5000 BBY, the Great Jedi Library was commissioned. In  4000 BBY The Jedi abandoned the planet after Odan-Urr was slain by a Sith and the planet was decimated many Jedi younglings and students of the order were turned to the darkside. However, some Jedi found safety in the planet’s Crystal Caves.

Additional Information Body Paragraph: In 10 ABY, Luke Skywalker rediscovered the planet in search of Jedi Artifacts when rebuilding the order. The Jedi later moved back to the Academy on Ossus only for it to be destroyed along with the Jedi.
