Animal Bond is a Force ability within the Light Side of the Force that allows the user to influence creatures and connect mentally with the creatures. The purpose of this was to offer partnership with the creature either as a means of aiding the user in their own quest or to help keep the user from becoming a victim of the creature as the galaxy contains a rich and wide diversity of creatures ranging from peaceful creatures such as Varactyls to dangerous and unpredictable creatures like the Rancor.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Animal Bond was used as a means to bridge the user and the creature in an attempt to gain their trust through partnership rather than mind controlling them. While the first known users of this ability are unknown, the practice of this has survived into the later historical moments in the galaxy such as the Clone Wars, the Galactic Empire taking control of the galaxy, and even beyond the end of the empire. Throughout the Clone Wars, many Jedi used this ability to gain guidance of the planet and the terrain to avoid the dangers that may be present to keep the hidden threats from causing unnecessary casualties before the battles.

Although this force ability was commonly used by users of the Light side of the Force, there are some who call their power from the Dark side that were capable of this ability. Some of these included Darth Bane, Darth Talon, and Darth Nihl.
