General Information Body Paragraph:

Exar Kun was a Dark Lord of the Sith that wielded two lightsabers, and was originally a Jedi. Exar left the Jedi originally because he was interested in the dark power of the Sith, and believed he was able to resist temptation to the dark side. In his search, he came across the tomb of Freedon Nadd, a Sith Lord. Freedon tempted Exar to the dark side, and eventually took him as his apprentice. Once Exar grew in power, he killed his master, and later found himself at the Krath Sith Cult. There, he met the Krath Sith Cult’s warlord, Ulic Qel-Droma. Exar then summoned the spirit of Marka Ragnos, an ancient Dark Lord of the Sith. Marka declared Exar Dark Lord of the Sith, with Ulic becoming his apprentice. Together, these two Sith formed the brotherhood of the Sith. This group was focussed on destroying ancient Jedi lore on Ossus. Ulic ended up betraying Exar for the Jedi, forcing Exar to flee to Yavin 4. Inside his temple, Exar attempted to do something he didn’t fully understand to separate his spirit from his body to escape. The Jedi formed a wall of light around Exar’s temple, trapping him inside of it for all eternity.

History/Background Body Paragraph:

Exar Kun was originally a Jedi. As a Padawan, Exar showed immense potential in the Force. But, he also had problems controlling his anger. He was also very skilled in lightsaber combat, causing his peers to refuse to duel him. His master, Vodo Siosk-Baas, ended up having to end a duel between Exar and another Padawan because Exar almost killed her.

Additional Information Body Paragraph:

In the 2018 film “Solo: A Star Wars Story”, the obsidian stone used for the base of the crime lord Dryden Vos’ desk was stolen from Exar’s temple. The inscription on the obsidian piece says, “Our temple honoring Sith Lord Exar Kun”, and was also carved with warding spells.
