Notes written by Izzy Hod: The poet and the Israeli/Ukrainian translator Anton Paperni, researched and found that the authors of the song, Bright night, are four, lyrics, Leonid Grigorievich Grave and Mikhail Alexandrovich Yazhykov, music, Yakov Fedorovich Prigogine and Mikhail Alexandrovich Shishkin . However, in the first publication of the poem, in 1885, the poem was attributed to, Leonid Grave and with, Ykov Prigogine. Later, the song was attributed to only two others, Mikhail Shishkin and Mikhail Yazhykov, without specifying what each of these couples contributed to the song. The authors, Shishkin and Yazhykov, were noted as the authors of the song, even throughout the 90s of the twentieth century and the year 2000, almost certainly by mistake. Today, the credit was divided between the four authors, who for the words and who for the music. The most likely explanation is that the poet Grave wrote the basic words for the song and the poet, Yazhykov, changed them in order to adapt them to the melody so that they would even become a sung song. The song was written in Moscow in a gypsy atmosphere, which was contributed by the composer, Prigogine, who was also a conductor of gypsy bands performing in a restaurant, Yar, in Moscow, where many gypsy bands performed, but it was written about the white nights, which last between June 11 and July 2, in the city of St. Petersburg, the northernmost city of all the cities of the world, in this period, the sunset is not perfect, and the darkness of the night does not descend.
