One day, the new leader ordered, Marichka, to meet him in the depths of the forest and when he also got there and sent his hands to Marichka, Marichka pulled out a long blade and stabbed him in the chest to death. Maricka, about whom the poem was written, is a young 16-year-old girl who was the cook at the hospital where the poet Tkatch was then a medical student in the same hospital and was apparently in love with her.
