Seniors Celebrating with At-Home Proms

The impact of Covid-19 on all seniors has been quite significant. On Sunday, September 20, some GRB seniors decided to take matters into their own hands.

Not many have had the idea to throw their own prom at home considering the fact that it would never be the same as how prom would normally go with the whole Class of 2021 being there to share the memories that would last a lifetime.

But Falyn Pitcher, a senior in the Class of 2021, was determined and had the idea to share and create these moments at home with her very close friends.

Pitcher, the creator of her at-home prom stated, "I was pretty sure that we weren't going to get a prom this year and all of my friends and myself already had our dresses so we figured it would be fun to throw our own prom."

Senior Madison Johnson stated, "Going to prom felt so right and super fun because we did it ourselves, had our own decorations, and had all of our favorite music. The overall experience was one of the best days I've ever had."

Senior Donald Austin said he helped Pitcher plan it and enjoyed attending the prom.

It seems many friends and family members would enjoy this process of being able to have a high school prom. After all, everyone deserves that special night.
