Students Begin to Worry with School Still Out of Session

By Breahna Boots

As most people know, school has been out of session for quite some time now. Students are beginning to worry as time is getting closer to things they do not want to miss out on.

Junior Abigail Lunderman was concerned about prom, saying, "I don't want to miss out on prom. I've been looking at dresses since about January and I just spent almost $500 on my dress right before school was cancelled."

Many seniors worry about graduation being cancelled along with senior trip, senior dinner dance, and those last few moments they get to spend with their friends before starting their own lives.

"Senior trip is coming up quick and I hope we're all back together in school again beforehand so that the trip doesn't have to be cancelled," senior Devanee Sabin said.

Senior trip was planned for June 4-7 at Virginia Beach.

"I really miss seeing my school friends each week. I mean I know that the health and safety of everyone is important, but hopefully this will all be over soon," senior John Halstead said.

The juniors and seniors of GRB are not the only ones feeling a bit worried about missing out on too much.

Freshman Lauren Diak said, "I'm kind of disappointed that I'm missing out on freshman year, but especially lacrosse because I was really excited to play during my first year of high school."

Spring sports have also been pushed off due to school being out of session.

Stay safe and healthy, everyone!
