Oswego High School to Present Beauty and the Beast

By Leah O'Hanlon

This weekend on February 7, 8, and 9, Oswego High School will present their annual musical. This year they are doing Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and one of Fulton’s own musicians has been asked to be a part of their production. Senior Leah O’Hanlon will be playing cello in the pit orchestra and is very excited to have been asked to play.

The cast has been working very hard to make sure everything is perfect for their upcoming show. Oswego High School senior Grace Hoffman said, “I am loving the show so far. I am a huge Disney fan already and this show makes me love it even more. Everything about the show is magical and our cast is amazing at bringing their characters to life.”

“We are very excited to bring Beauty and the Beast, the first Disney show we’ve produced in years, to our community. Being able to involve students from a neighboring district is a really unique opportunity. We are so pleased that Leah will be playing cello in the pit and hope that she finds the experience mutually rewarding,” Oswego High School Music Director Mr. Robert Dumas said.

This year, GRB’s Quirk's Players will travel to see their counterparts perform the show and are looking forward to it.

Senior Rebecca Bailey said, “I am excited to see Beauty and the Beast because it is one of my favorite Disney shows!”

Evening shows start at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and there is also a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Admission is $10-$15.
