High Honor Banquet Celebrates Seniors

By Lizzie Russell

On Wednesday, June 5 at 6 p.m., senior students who are graduating with high honors were celebrated at a banquet in GRB's gym. These students achieved an average of 89.5% or higher for their entire high school career.

At the banquet, the students and their parents enjoyed dinner, which consisted of tossed salad, dinner rolls and butter, shaved beef with au jus, boneless chicken breast, potatoes, green beans, and beverages. Everyone also enjoyed cake after the meal.

After the dinner, Mrs. Parkhurst introduced every student who is a high honor graduate and he or she received a pin from either Ms. Stephenson or Mr. Copani.

Senior Maddie Baum said, “The high honor banquet is a good way to honor and applaud the students who have done and continue to do well in school because it gives them something to look forward to.”

Senior Domonique Johnson stated, “I was a part of the high honor roll banquet and I think it is a great thing to honor each student and all of the hard work they have put in.”
