Students Excited for Valentine's Day

By Anthony Galletta

The most romantic time of year is here and many people at GRB have plans to enjoy the day as much as possible. Whether it is ambitious and over the top, casual and chill, or somewhere in between, students have all kinds of plans for how to spend the day.

Junior Jacob Hahn said that he and his date are "going to the movies, and then going to dinner." Should you be interested in adding a movie to your own plans, there are a number of movies showing at the Oswego Cinema on February 14, including Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, Sonic The Hedgehog, Bad Boys for Life, 1917, Dolittle, Jumanji: The Next Level, Gretel and Hansel, and The Gentleman.

Of these movies, apparently Sonic The Hedgehog is the place to be. Senior Ronde Wood said, "We're going to Sonic. The whole school is."

However, if you do not feel like going to the movies, there are other options.

Senior Jacob Curtis said he and his date are "just going bowling. She's really bad at it, but we still find it fun."

Fulton has a bowling alley right here in town, Lakeview Lanes. Sadly, Sweet Inspirations next to the bowling alley is still closed for the season, but there are other dining options, such as Tavern on the Lock, Blue Moon, and Mimi's Diner.

In addition, the Fulton War Memorial's open skate is also open on Valentine's Day, as well. Nothing is better than ice skating with loved ones.

In the end, it doesn't matter what you do for Valentine's Day, as long as you do it with those you love, whether in a romantic, platonic, or familial way. It really is just taking the time to tell someone you care that can leave a lasting impression on that special someone.

Happy Valentine's Day, GRB!
