Cross Country Sectionals are over and with that, another season is behind GRB's runners. Sectionals took place at VVS High school on Saturday, November 16.

The boys team was led by Coach Demars. No one made States this year on the young team. Some of the quickest times at Sectionals were Ryan Carroll with a time of 18:49 and Dylan Waldron with 21:32.

Coach Demars is proud of all the effort put forth this season. He said, "I am extremely proud of how everything turned out. We are a young team that constantly improved throughout the season and had our best team race of the year at Sectionals. I am looking forward to the next couple of years and seeing how this young team builds."

On the girls side, no one made States, but a great amount of effort was put forward. The fastest times on the team were Abby Mainville with a 21:59 (14th place), Meillin Lamanna with a 23:28 (33rd place), and Phoebe Blair with a 24:28 (54th place).

Coach Hudson is happy with the team's results at Sectionals. She said, "We got eighth place, which is one spot better than last year and two spots better than the year before. We are only losing one senior from our Sectional squad and while we will miss her dearly, I am excited to have so many returning athletes next year."
