Boys Basketball Holds Fundraiser
By Anthony Dashnau
On January 11, the Fulton varsity basketball team held a pulled pork fundraiser. Tickets were ten dollars a piece.
The dinners consisted of a pulled pork sandwich, four salt potatoes, and a scoop of mac salad. This event was held at the Fulton War Memorial.
The varsity basketball team worked hard to make sure everything was in line and it paid off as the fundraiser made the team a lot of money.
All the money goes into the varsity bank account so they can play in tournaments over the summer and during the off-season to get better.
In return for all the varsity basketball players who helped hold the event, Coach Broderick bought them all a dinner.
Coach Trude said, "This turned out to be a great fundraiser. We made quite a bit of money and should get to play all summer long and not have to worry about players paying to play."
Coach Broderick stated, "Overall, it was a great turnout. A big thanks to the players who sold their tickets. It's all about the culture."
Senior Seth Grimshaw stated, "It was a great idea and it benefited our team. It's all about the culture and having each other's back."
