April Fools' Day was April 1.

Delay Causes Confusion on April Fools' Day

By Kim Bednarz

Whether they were practicing witty jokes or planning a hilarious prank on Monday, April 1, students in the Fulton City School District thought they had been fooled when a two-hour delay was announced.

Students and teachers got a message that said, "Good morning Red Raiders...We are on a 2-hr delay. No April Fools joke!"

Students had mixed emotions to this message. Sophomore Mckenzie Palmer said, "I thought I had been a victim of a prank. I was mad, but then I laughed!"

Why did we have a two-hour delay on the funniest day of the year, you may ask? Some say it's because Mother Nature thought it'd be a funny to change the weather right under our noses! Hopefully this is the last time we have to clean our cars of snow and ice.

Anytime you are planning a joke or prank on someone, make it safe! There is no need to have your prank become dangerous!
