Students received High Honor Roll and Honor Roll certificates as a congratulations for a job well done for the second quarter.

Academic Achievements Celebrated

By Hailey LaClaire

The second marking period has come to an end and High Honor Roll and Honor Roll recognitions have been awarded. Around 47% of students at GRB had a grade point average of 84.5 or better. Out of each grade, the juniors had the highest amount of High Honor Roll students.

Exactly 242 students are eligible to receive a VIP pass and free lunch. In order to qualify for VIP status, a student must have all grades of 75% or better, have no major referrals, and have 95% attendance and 95% on time to school for the second marking period.

Principal Mrs. Parkhurst said, "We are proud of the accomplishments made by our VIPs and we look forward to celebrating with our quarter two VIPs."

The VIP lunch will be provided on Friday, February 14. This catered lunch will consist of baked ziti and meatballs provided by Mr. Mike's restaurant. This specialty lunch will be served in front of the auditorium during lunch bells so be sure to grab some if you are a VIP.

The VIP pass allows students to leave the classroom without taking a teacher's pass as long as they have a VIP pass on their person.

Congratulations to those who have received awards or VIP status and good luck to everyone in the second semester!
