Music Helps Students

Most students have some type of listening device on them or in their ears throughout the day.

Listening to music can change students' moods quickly and can give students more energy. If students are stressed, need motivation, or have bad anxiety, music can help put a student's mind at ease and help him or her feel better.

There are so many types of music out there and all types can help.

Senior Cassady LaBarge said, “Listening to music helps me tune out others.”

Motivation in school is very important. Music can help students focus on the task at hand. Listening to music while working and studying is a good strategy for some students.

Anxiety seems to be all over the place today. More and more high school students are reporting having some anxiety. Anxiety can be pretty scary to those living with it. Listening to music helps relieve anxiety. By tuning others out and easing the mind, anxiety can be manageable.

High-schoolers are all at the age where life itself can be scary. Let’s help them out by allowing some quiet time to listen to music.
