This year, one of our favorite teachers is leaving G. Ray Bodley. She has dedicated years to our school. Mrs. Hill is one of several teachers here at GRB who is retiring this year. We are all sad to see her go, but we wish her the best and most wonderful time during her retirement. She has taught and inspired students who have had the time to get to know her.
Mrs. Hill’s room is bright, colorful, and comfortable. With the sun shining down, it feels warm and nice. Mrs. Hill's bright personality is sure to make anyone's day. She is loved by students and teachers.
Mrs. Hill worked at BOCES before coming to GRB and has been here for 20 years. She began as a special education teacher and then moved into the role of instructional coach, a position she has held for three years. An instructional coach is someone who brings evidence-based practices into classrooms by working with teachers and other school leaders.
She explained, "My goal this year was to help new teachers become the best they could be and to provide professional development opportunities for all staff on a variety of topics."
Mrs. Hill has lots of plans for retirement. She said, "After my retirement, I am hoping to travel and spend time with my family and hopefully become a grandma."
Although she's looking forward to retirement, she said, “I will miss all of the students, teachers, and other staff members who have helped me make many happy memories here."
This year has turned out to be great for Mrs. Hill. We sure will miss you, Mrs. Hill! Good luck in your retirement!
