Art Club Plans Fundraiser

Art Club members have many exciting things in the works for the second semester.

The Art Club is hosting a Paint Night on Friday, March 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Children and adults alike are welcome to attend. Admission costs $30.

Those attending will be painting an art piece with guidance from art teacher Mrs. Tyler. All funds from Paint Night will be going toward the fundraiser for the Art Club's New York City field trip, which will be taking place in May.

A few art students currently are working on the Memory Project, in which each student is given a photo of a child from a foreign country to draw. This year, the children being drawn are from Russia.

The project is due on April 1 and all artwork will be sent to the children who were drawn. Art Club adviser and art teacher Mrs. Tyler said, "I love doing the Memory Project with my students. It is so rewarding to see their faces when they complete their projects."

If you would like to take part in this project, please contact art teachers Mrs. Tyler and Mrs. Williams.
