G. Ray Bodley provides a very useful support team for high school students with home troubles, whether they are a runaway youth or are dealing with substance abuse issues.
Melissa Hurley is the Runaway and Homeless Youth Advocate who helps students who have run away from home or have been kicked out of their home and she helps them establish a safe home to go to and makes sure that the student has everything he or she needs to survive and prosper. Melissa is available from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in room 182 and is more than happy to help anyone in need.
Melanie Licatese is the GRB Mental Health Clinician who provides direct counseling services to students in high school. She is available to talk to anyone who needs her services and will give helpful feedback on how to better your life and graduate. Melanie is in the room directly next to the elevator on the first floor, is available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and is happy to help anyone who needs her services.
Katie Petro is GRB's SAF Advocate. She helps provide crisis counseling, advocacy, and support services to students or staff who have experienced dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, or sexual assault. Katie is located in room 181 and is available from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Michaela Smith is the Student Assistance Counselor. She provides counseling and supportive services to youth with substance abuse issues or who are at risk of substance abuse for pleasure or harm. Michaela is located in room 198 and is available from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Chelsea Spier is the Teen Health Issues Educator. She provides education and counseling to youth on relationship issues, reproductive health, and positive choices. She is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in room 182.
The Support Team is a very useful group and enjoys helping anyone in need, no matter the issue. If you have problems in your home life, visit an advocate who can help you.
