The musical Anything Goes will be performed by the GRB Quirk’s Players on March 7, 8, and 9. After a nerve-racking wait, the cast list was announced just before the holiday break. The students participating in the musical are excited and so are the people waiting to watch it.
Principal roles went to Alexis Barth as Reno Sweeney, while Reno’s showgirls/angels are portrayed by Sarah Fisch, Shaylee Cealie, Hayley Vann and Kelly Caza. Rebecca Bailey is playing the role of Hope Harcourt and Olivia Hawthorne is playing Evangeline Harcourt.
The part of Lord Evelyn Oakleigh is being played by Alex Blaine. Anthony Galletta is playing the part of Elisha Whitney and Nick Brown is portraying the part of Billy Crocker. Ronde Wood is playing Moonface Martin, Chloe Hurlbutt is playing Erma and Jacob Hahn is playing Luke. Wesley VanBuren is playing the role of John, Griffin Marriner is playing Captain, and Donald Austin is playing the role of the purser.
The members of the ensemble include Ethan Abelgore, Kaley Allen, Zach Barker, Selene Belrad, McKenna Bourgeois, Noah Cordone, Sierra Crast, Marcus Doran, Julie Duval, Harper Ells, and Emma Francisco.
The list also includes Lauren Goss, Kyler Haggerty, Ella Halladay, Sean Hein, Jessica Herlowski, Mary Jerred, Haiden Johnson, Leah Kingsbury, Paige Kingsley, Jessica LaPage, Scott LaPage, and Sutter Lewin.
Rounding out the ensemble are Grady Marshall, Mariela Mejia-Merida, Jaiden Perry, Emily Sohoski, Elle Stafford, Evan Standish, Gabby Tomarchio, Ethan Weaver, Jayda Whitehead, and Kira Whitehead.
The tech crew consists of Elias Dahar, Chloe Devendorf, Trevor Hartle-Knoop, Sam Kreinheder, Gianna Mastro, Destiny Miller, Hanna Miller, Allie Nichols, Leah O’Hanlon, Devon Seale, and Angel Wilber.
Senior Nicholas Brown, playing the part of Billy Crocker, said, “It is going to be fun and I'm looking forward to it.”
In the musical, Billy Crocker is a young Wall Street broker. Nick Brown is a fantastic actor and is very much looking forward to playing this role.
Sophomore Jaidyn Perry stated, “Rehearsals are going by fast. We are learning a lot everyday, but everyone is excited to perform.” Perry is an enthusiastic person and an amazing performer.
There are so many students practicing hard everyday who are extremely excited to perform for everyone. They are all excited to see everyone watching. Come support the students on March 7, 8, and 9!
