On Friday, November 22, senior Alyssa Robinson took her oath at Hancock Airport.

Family, friends, and school counselor Mr. Nofal all attended to watch her accomplish her dream and be sworn into the military.

Her mother, Stephanie Robinson, said, "Some people never get to meet their hero, but I raised mine. I always knew she'd do great things for her future and there's not a day that goes by where she doesn't make me proud."

Robinson said she is going to have a tough time saying goodbye to her family and friends, but thinks it will all be worth it in the end.

Her school counselor, Mr. Nofal, said, "I was very honored to be at Alyssa's swearing and I look forward to all of her accomplishments in the future."

Robinson will be attending basic training this summer and will be going into military intelligence.

Senior Emily Tice said, "I'm so proud of her for stepping up and taking action and I know she'll do great things."

Being in the military has always been a dream of Robinson's.

"Every time you'd ask her what she'd want to do after high school she would always respond with the military and I'm very proud of her for actually going through with it," senior Tory Paro said.

Congratulations, Alyssa!
