Students Find Ways to Make Online Learning Easier

As all students across the country are finding out, transitioning from a physical classroom to online learning is difficult. Some students here at GRB, however, have made the most out of this experience.

Being able to work at their own pace and being able to sleep in during the week while still being able to get their work done has allowed students to make their “Corona-cation” a good experience.

“I think the easiest part of staying home has been being able to work at my own pace and setting my own schedule,” junior Sidney Bradshaw said.

Students in GRB's music department have been able to use this time to further perfect their craft in preparation for their next year’s college opportunities.

“Being able to learn from home has honestly been a little bit of a blessing. I’m finally able to practice as much as I need to get ready for college without it cutting into the time I have to spend on my school work,” senior Vita Dean said.

Senior Anna-Carole Samson has been using this opportunity to hang out with her immediate family members more. “For me, it hasn’t been too bad. Despite living in a small home, we all still respect each other’s privacy and space. We only run into trouble when we all start to compete for internet and it gets slow, which I’m sure other people can relate to. I think the best way to not go crazy stuck at home with your family is to make sure everyone gets alone time and help each other out when you can.”
