Boys Basketball Scores Another Win

By Breahna Boots

On February 11, the varsity boys basketball team went away to play against Oswego.

In the third quarter, Fulton was down by 12 and then down by 8 going into the fourth quarter.

Fulton ended up outscoring Oswego 22 to 11 in the fourth quarter and won the game by three points.

Seth Grimshaw scored 18 out of the 22 points in the fourth quarter.

"He played phenomenally, especially in the fourth quarter when we really needed his energy and leadership," Coach Broderick noted.

Jack Broderick and Sam Cotton both made big plays toward the end of the fourth quarter, as well.

"It was cool because a lot of our student body was there. A lot of kids from our school who are friends with some of the guys on the team were there. Some of our faculty and staff were there. It was a great crowd, great environment, and we beat our rivals," Coach Broderick said.

This was the 11th win for the team and they are now qualified for Sectionals.

They are preparing to play against Auburn on February 14 at home at 6:30 p.m. Senior Night will be Tuesday, February 18 at 2:30 p.m.

"We're going to do some special stuff for the seniors. They deserve it. They've been a great senior class," Coach Broderick said.

The seniors on the team include Michael Janaro, Collin Fyffe, Verzell Kaigler, Nolan Dexter, and Seth Grimshaw.

"I'm so proud of Collin for all he has achieved when it comes to basketball. He loves what he does and works hard," senior Tory Paro said.

Congratulations to the boys basketball team!
