Students Learn about CTE Opportunities

By Ethan Abelgore

On November 13, sophomores learned about the CTE program through CiTi at a presentation during Guided Study Hall.

The CTE program is a great opportunity for students to earn college credits and prepare for a job after high school.

You can take part in these programs when you are a junior or senior. There are a lot of different classes you can take such as technology classes, computer science classes, cosmetology, welding classes, and more.

There are different sessions of CTE that you can choose when you enroll. There is the AM (8:30-11) or the PM (12-2:30) sessions.

If you take part in CTE you will earn four credits toward your Regents diploma. Also, a technical endorsement (gold seal) and college credit can be earned from some of the courses you take.

If you have any questions or are interested in joining the CTE program, go to the Counseling Office for more information.
