Students are missing their time at GRB.

Seniors Reflect on Memories

By Alyssa Robinson

As GRB carries on with our Learning at Home program, many of our seniors have had time to dwell on the loss of our senior year.

There are many things that we have missed out on during this quarantine period. Some of those things include our senior trip, senior pranks, and senior dinner dance.

However, every senior has high school memories that they can look back on now that school has come to a quick end.

Senior Tory Paro said, "I'm going to miss being brought to school by my dad everyday and listening to him confuse the person taking our order at Dunkin'. I'm also going to miss the football games, getting pumped and dancing to the music being played."

Paro was one of GRB's varsity cheerleaders and would have been starting her very last year of varsity softball before spring sports were cancelled due to COVID-19.

As for many other people, the sudden end of senior year has caused them to reflect on conversations that may have been their last.

Senior Lyle Beeman said, "I'm going to miss the classmates that I wasn't super close with, but still talked to sometimes. I might never see them again."

Beeman was one of GRB's varsity soccer players and similar to Paro, he would have been starting his last year of varsity lacrosse this spring.

If it weren't for the bonds that our seniors made with certain teachers, many of us may not have pulled through high school.

Senior Isabella Cavellier said, "I think what I'll miss the most is the teachers I've built bonds with, like Mrs. Dauphin."

Cavellier was one of GRB's varsity cheerleaders and captains.

Personally, I will miss the pure bliss of walking through the hallway on the first and last day of school.

Seniors work so hard to graduate and having that taken away from us is hard to deal with at times, but one thing is certain. We will always cherish the memories we made inside the doors of G. Ray Bodley.
