Hockey Team Celebrates Seniors
By Alyssa Robinson
On Monday, February 10, GRB's varsity hockey team faced Pulaski's Ontario Bay in a home match.
This game was in recognition of the team's seven senior players who will no longer be with GRB's team next year.
The game started with freshman Nico Tardibon (5) scoring the first goal.
According to many of the players, this was a very important game to the season.
Senior Jadon Lee (1) said, "It was a non-league game, but it was also an important game to keep momentum going and to clinch having a winning season, which is a big turn around for Fulton varsity hockey moving forward."
As of right now, Fulton is in first place in the league with a striking 666 saves. Lee is responsible for 570 of the saves.
Sophomore Trey White (30) made 15 saves this game and senior Jadon Lee (1) made 12.
White said, "A win is a win, but we could have played better as a team."
The boys won their match with a final score of 4-0.
Junior captain Derick Schumaker said, " We didn't have the offense we were looking for, but it was enough for the win."
GRB's varsity hockey team will face Baldwinsville's team February 14 at 6 p.m. at home. Congratulations on the win and good luck!
