On May 24, at approximately 4 a.m., about 20 students from WGRB and other clubs are taking a trip to New York City with WGRB advisor Mr. Jones.

The students fund-raised to make the price of the trip decrease by selling Save Around books and doing car washes. The students are required to pay $130 to participate on this field trip, which pays for their bus ride, their visit to NBC Studios, and their dinner. The students will be enjoying dinner at one of New York City’s finest pizzerias, John’s Pizzeria. The trip will be a one-day trip and the students will arrive back the morning of May 25.

During this trip they will make two stops. They will visit Central Park during Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series to meet the cast and singer Hozier and to look behind-the-scenes of the morning show as it airs from a location outside of the studio. Next, they will be transported to NBC Studios and have the honor to meet the cast and many writers that will be there for a conversation.

This trip could be really useful for students' futures.

Mr. Jones said, “It will help students choose if they want to go into broadcasting and the process to implement themselves into the public broadcasting community."
