Students Complete Global Regents

By Chloe Davis

On Monday, June 3, the sophomore class took the Global 10 Regents. It started with 28 multiple choice questions, then went to seven constructed response questions, and continued to one Enduring Issues essay.

Sophomore Kadin Davis said, “The Enduring Issues essay was kind of challenging, I wrote about power because it was more about Imperialism and trade of the British, but the rest wasn’t that hard. I’m usually a fast test-taker, but this test actually took me two hours.”

All Regents exams are three hours, but if you’re done by the two-hour mark you can raise your hand and once they check your test you are able to leave.

Of course, it is always better to look over your test when you’re done to make sure you pick the right answer and to always take your time.

Social studies teacher Mr. McCarten said, “I think the new test was definitely more challenging than the old test. The readings and documents were complex and required some serious thought.”

Students took their time on the test and did as well as they could. Teachers graded for two days after the exam and students' scores will be on their report cards.
