Career Day and 100-Day Senior Celebration Happening Monday

By Cameron Grower

On March 18, there will be a half day of school and, in the morning, students will attend four sessions with professionals from a variety of occupations. The professionals will be showcasing what they do and presenting information about their jobs. They’ll also be showing and teaching what skills it takes to be in their profession .

There are four sessions throughout the day and every session lasts 30 minutes. (See schedule above.) There will be snacks for students when they return to Guided Study Hall at the end of the day.

There will also be a senior breakfast celebrating the fact that there are just 100 days until graduation. The celebration begins at 8 a.m. and the colors for the 100-day celebration will be black and gold. There will be bagels, breakfast pizza, juice, and even dessert.

Seniors will also enjoy trivia and a photobooth with graduation props for fun and for the yearbook and senior slideshow. The most exciting part about the celebration is that there will be a banner that seniors will sign which will be a pledge to graduate and there will then be a picture taken of the seniors with their pledge banner.

The 100-day celebration ends at 9:30. Senior Ean Stevenson said, "I feel like the senior breakfast will be a great opportunity to relax and chill with friends and I'm excited to be almost done with high school."

Senior Class President Collin Bennett said, "I'm excited to bring all of the seniors together and have a great morning and we also get to be the first class who gets to hang the banner that all of the seniors will sign."
