The Music Man is a musical comedy and will be presented by Quirk's Players in March.

Quirk's Players to Present The Music Man

Quirk's Players recently announced this year's spring musical, The Music Man.

The show is set in River City, Iowa in the early 1900s. A man named Harold Hill is traveling through and wants to set up a marching band in the town. His intention is to leave as soon as he has the money, but he eventually develops a romance with the librarian, Marian Paroo. Then he has to make a difficult decision of whether to leave the town or stay.

The musical is full of great songs and plenty of comedy to make you laugh.

The cast list includes Wesley VanBuren as Charlie Cowell, Jacob Han as the conductor, Alex Blaine as Harold Hill, Trevor Hartle-Knapp as Mayor Shinn, Marcus Wornick as Ewart Dunlop, Griffin Marriner as Oliver Hix, Sutter Lewin as Jacey Squires, and Justin Atwater as Olin Britt.

Rounding out the cast are Ronde Wood as Marcellus, Kira Whitehead as Marian Paroo, Leah Kingsbury as Mrs. Paroo, Alexis Barth as Eulalie MacKeckinie Shinn, Becca Bailey as Zaneeta Shinn, Olivia Hawthorne as Alma Hix, Emily Sohoski as Maud Dunlap, Gabby Tomarchio as Ethel Toffelmier, Jaidyn Perry as Mrs. Squires, and Ethan Abelgore as the Constable.

The musical is sure to be a success. Performances will be in the beginning of March when rehearsals for the show are complete.
