Baseball Season Starts Soon

The varsity baseball team is looking to make a strong run for a section title, only graduating one starting senior last year. The Raiders have thirteen returning players with seven seniors.

Tryouts start Monday, March 16. Baseball has already been practicing for nearly four weeks and the real season has not even started.

Junior Cuinn Burlingham said, "I think we will do pretty well. We have a lot of kids coming back from last year that will be very important to our success." Burlingham was one of the Raiders' leading players last season.

Junior Nick Moshier, another one of the Raiders' leading players, said, "We will have a notorious season."

Time will tell if this really is one of the most memorable seasons Raider baseball has had.

On the other hand, higher levels of sports have been canceling spring events. Junior Sam May said, "They seem to be cancelling the spring seasons pretty rapidly so we will see about ours."

No decisions have been made yet and the season is set to begin soon. The Raiders' first game is scheduled to be April 2 at Henninger High School.
