On Wednesday, March 27, GRB students made their way to the auditorium to learn about college entrance exams. School counselors Mr. Goodnough and Mr. Nofal were there to answer as many questions as they could. In addition, they provided an abundance of valuable information in just the short bells of Lunch 1 and Lunch 2.
Some questions that were tackled were "What should I bring on test day?" and "What should I do to prepare for the exams?" Getting some answers helped ease students' nerves.
Mr. Nofal, who is a counselor to juniors and seniors, said, "It is important that we have these presentations because the juniors have never taken these tests. It is foreign for them so we are trying to get everyone prepared to know exactly what they need to do."
Junior Alicia Merritt said, "It was very educational. I feel a lot more prepared."
In addition to seeing the PowerPoint, students were given a "College Entrance Exams- What You Need to Know" informational sheet.
Junior Courtney Weaver said, "The presentation was helpful because it gave the students information they might not know otherwise. It definitely made me feel more comfortable."
Although there was a small crowd, the college entrance exams presentation certainly eased nerves and prepared GRB juniors for the upcoming tests.
