March 22, 2019
On Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Fulton Junior High School is hosting Parent University. There will be transportation for all families who need it.
In the morning, they start with a breakfast and opening remarks. Then there are four sessions that the families can attend. After their chosen sessions, they attend student performances and a panel discussion about resilience. They will finish the day with lunch and a chance to win door prizes. Each session will be limited to a 10-family maximum.
There will be supervised activities for children ages four to twelve along with UPK and kindergarten registration. They will also be offering physicals and immunizations. There will also be a community resource fair.
Teaching Assistant Mrs. Cotton said, "Parent University is a very beneficial program that we offer in our community. More people should take advantage of the benefits and inspiration it offers."
Senior Mattie Clarke said, "This program is a great opportunity to see what their children will endure in school while also helping parents understand their children more."
For parents interested in this program, you can register for this program on the Fulton City School District website.
