Remind Remains for Verizon Users

By Cody Burmingham

On January 28, Remind notified all Verizon Wireless users that they will no longer be getting Remind text messages due to the company being charged by Verizon Wireless digits close to one million dollars to send mass messages to Verizon Wireless users.

This was soon repealed by Verizon because Remind’s customers have protested to have the carrier fees removed and they had their voices heard successfully.

Remind explained in an email to users, “This January, you made your voice heard to achieve an incredible outcome: reversing carrier fees that would have affected Remind’s ability to support free text messaging for millions of students and parents across the country."

Starting on March 18, the Remind company will now be supporting all carriers, including Verizon Wireless. You are still able to download the Remind app from the Google Play Store or the iTunes Store with an internet connection on your mobile device if you do not currently have a carrier.
