Teachers and students gathered on our own turf during the 2018-2019 school year to make the Positivity Project symbol.

Fulton P2 Project Ready for Reboot

By Sydney Lawson

The Positivity Project (P2) is ready for a reboot at GRB. On November 22, several P2 teacher leaders went to a training and met with leaders from other schools to see how GRB can improve its program.

Mrs. Killian said, "I wouldn't say things weren't working. We were just trying to do too much. We needed to slow down and let the students lead."

Due to an abundance of student leaders being involved in Citi and New Visions, GRB lost a lot of student leaders this year, which set the program back a little.

Ms. Arduini said, "Things are really starting to get rolling again. We are starting to focus less on how much we think we need to be doing and more on what we are already naturally doing. The kids that have stuck with us through everything really do make a difference in this school."

Junior Kaylee Hutchins has great ideas about what she wants for GRB. She said, “The upcoming murals that will be seen in parts of the building are a part of the Student Senate’s ‘beautification project’. These artworks are to increase school pride and create a better atmosphere. P2 will be joining with the Student Senate as there will be a mural in the school that is dedicated to the many character traits that GRB encourages students to express and take pride in."

She added, "We hope that these actions will not only create a better learning environment, but also make our school a brighter, more vibrant place.”

They are always looking for new people to join and start helping with activities to make our school a happier and better place to be. If you have any questions or even want to be a part of P2, don’t hesitate to join.
