Boys Basketball Celebrates Seniors

On February 18, the boys basketball team had their Senior Night.

Seniors recognized before the game began included Verzell Kaigler, Michael Janaro, Collin Fyffe, Nolan Dexter, and Seth Grimshaw.

Their accomplishments and college and career plans for after high school were mentioned as their names were called.

"We had about 200 of our youth basketball kids that were there that formed a tunnel that they walked through," Coach Broderick noted.

All five of the seniors started that game and each one of them also scored and they ended up winning the game that night. The final score against Dryden was 78-42.

"All five of them have contributed to our program in different and unique ways. But most importantly they were all just great teammates and a huge part of the reason why we won 13 games," Broderick added.

Senior Seth Grimshaw had 26 points, junior Jack Broderick had 18, and junior Dom Abbott scored 9 points with 13 assists.

On Friday, February 21, they hosted a Sectional game for the first time in many years.

They competed against Watertown and took home a win.

"They were a really, really good team and they have had 11 wins so far this season," Coach Broderick said.

In that game, senior Seth Grimshaw scored a total of 23 points and Dom Abbott scored 15.

"Overall, it was a really good game. It was a home Sectional game, which was a really cool experience for our kids," Coach Broderick said.

Great job to the varsity boys basketball team!
