It’s that time of the year again to have the 3rd Annual Hoops for Hope event. This is a charity basketball game to support breast cancer research and it will be held on Friday, April 5. GRB teachers will play against players from Channel 3 News.

The first thing to do is head down and see Mrs. Cretaro (Room 112) or Mr. Lyons (Room 206) to place your t-shirt order. With ordering a shirt and wearing the shirt to the event, your admission is free.

Shirts sizes are small, medium, large, and XL and are $12. Sizes 2XL and up are $15. The deadline for the t-shirt order is Friday, March 22 so don’t miss it.

Some of the money from the shirt sale and the donations to this event will be donated to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund & Upstate Foundation.

Anyone or any business can donate and many local businesses do. Over 30 businesses have already donated to this event.

Mr. Lyons said, “If a company donates $100 or more, they get sponsored and their logo will be printed on the back of the t-shirt."

He noted some local donors, including Pathfinder Bank, B&T Sports, Fulton Savings Bank, and RiverView Pediatrics.

Every donation counts and the more this event gets the better. Let's all come together to support a good cause.
