Fulton's swimming and diving team gets ready before a meet.

Swimming and Diving Team Continues to Dominate

By Ian Bogardus

Fulton's swimming and diving team is looking spectacular this year. They have already clinched the league title and are looking to win Sectionals. Their record is 6-2.

Fulton's 2 losses were against high-quality opponents Liverpool and West Genesee. The Raiders beat Mexico, their rivals, for the first time in a while.

The Raiders also won the HAC tournament two years in a row against Rochester teams.

At the tournament on Saturday, January 11, sophomore Teddy Clayton also beat the school record in the 100 butterfly by a little more than .1 seconds. Junior diver Corinne Clarke said, "Everyone was very excited for Teddy and our team congratulates him."

At the last meet against Pulaski, all divers got their personal records.

Coach Lacey is very proud of his team so far this season. He said, "We have a big meet next Friday against New Hartford. They are our biggest focus this season."

Junior spectator Peter Nalle was impressed with how well the Raiders did. "They all encouraged each other to do the best they can," he said.
