On Monday, April 1, the Early College High School Program students took a field trip to Huhtamaki to see a workforce in action. The students went through various activities set up by the Huhtamaki staff.
This helped students understand the work place even before graduation so they know what they are going into when they get a job at Huhtamaki or a similar job.
Freshman Jenesis Whitfield said, "Making the ice cream containers was a pretty fun activity."
Freshman Jaxon Jodway stated, "The trip was a pretty good introduction to what they do."
The staff was able to show the students the basic training to work at their establishment and successfully grow with their business.
Early College High School Program Director Mr. Broderick said, "This was a great opportunity for our students to see how the IT education they are receiving applies to the workplace. I think they are starting to grasp the wide range of job opportunities that are available in the information technology field."
He added, "We thank Huhtamaki for welcoming our Early College students."
