On Tuesday, February 26 all GRB students were asked to take the ¨GRB School Perception Survey - February 2019” during Guided Study Hall. Students had to answer questions that related to how students feel about teachers and the environment at GRB. The purpose of the survey is to get a good understanding about what is good and what needs improvement.
Principal Mrs. Parkhurst explained, “It is important to get information and opinions from students. You are the reason we are here.”
To access the survey, students went to the Fulton City School District home page and then GRB's page. They needed their student ID number to login.
Physics teacher Mr. Galek said, “The survey was easy to access. With just a few clicks you're in and ready to take the survey.”
Students have taken the survey before and will take it again at at the end of the school year. The one at the end of the year will be more complex.
Many students have different opinions on taking the surveys. Some students think that the surveys are a waste of time and students should not need to take time to do them. Others hope administrators take the information and use it to make positive changes for our school.
The information from the survey was looked at on Thursday, February 28 to see how students feel about GRB and what they can do to make the school feel more welcoming to the students.
Senior Caleb Clarke said, “It's an opportunity for you guys to voice your student opinion and improve your school community, so take them seriously and your give your feedback.”
If you did not take the survey this time, please make sure to take the next one.
