The New York State Public High School Athletes Association (NYSPHAA) recently honored several G. Ray Bodley student athletes for having a GPA of 90% of higher. Even if the team is not deemed a scholar team, an individual student may be honored.

Junior Sidney Bradshaw said, "I am very proud and grateful that the NYSPHAA recognizes me for both my efforts in sports and my achievements in school."

The 2019 Fall scholar athletes honored for Boys and Girls Cross Country include Sidney Bradshaw, Ryan Carroll, Ethan Demars, Adon Heaney, Elijah Turner, Isabella Cary, Ava Demars, Chloe Devendorf, Malie Follet, Laura Hayden, Mali Lammana, Meilin Lammana, Abby Mainville, Devon Nicholson, De’Nayah Orr, Alexa Patterson, Cassandra Seaton, and Emma Weaver.

Students recognized for their academic achievements on the Girls Tennis team are Alexis Barth, Madelyn Delano, Gracie Dempsey, Aryona DiGregorio, Jasmine Fauler, Quinn Halstead, Madison Flint, Madison Hotchkiss, Alexis Ingersoll, Leah Kingsbury, Paige Kingsley, Sarah Nichols, and Katelyn Perkins.

Football honorees include Ian Bogardus, Sam Cotton, Ben Demars, Cole French, Brandon Hacic, John Halstead, Jacob Holmes, Sam May, Michael Strong, Nicholas Vant, and Andru Walts.

"I appreciate the opportunity to compete for Fulton while also being a scholar athlete through many seasons of running. This experience provided me with memories and friendships that will last a lifetime" senior Laura Hayden said.

Also honored were the following soccer players: Lyle Beeman, Bryce Carroll, Sam Cary, Donovan Duell, Ryan Gerth, Dalton Hines, Tanner Jones, Sean Prock, Ian Summerville, Mark Tallents, Courtney Bednarz, Claire Broderick, Skyler Gibson, Madison Gilmore, Lauren Goss, Heidie Hall, Mary Jerred, Kyra Merritt, Lydia Mirabito, Sam Perkins, Allison Standish, Christina Tallents, Courtney Weaver, and Brenna Wells.

"I think it's really amazing that we we have such an abundance of student athletes that are achieving in both the classroom and in sports. It definitely makes me really proud to represent GRB as an athlete," senior Chole Hurlbut said.

Scholar athletes on the Girls Volleyball team include Ella Henderson, Chloe Hurlbut, Ashley Jackson, Sydney Lawson, Samantha McRae, Hope Mirabito, Chyanne Okoniewski, Mackenize Treneer, and Alena Wright.

Cheerleaders honored with scholar athlete status are Corinne Clarke, Alyssa Kurak, Tory Paro, and Nevaeh Tucker.

Fall scholar athlete honorees for Golf are Tanner Emmons, Lucas Nelson, Nicholas Schremp, and Brady Zych.
