If you ever have a question or concern here at GRB, what do you do? There are many resources on the GRB homepage to find what you are looking for. Of course you can always click on “I have a question”, which is a great resource (scroll down and look under “downloads” to help guide you to find your answer).
If you have a question or concern it is best to follow the chain of communication, beginning with the level closest to the issue. If your issue is unresolved, continue with the next level, etc. This process is established to resolve issues at the earliest opportunity. Nevertheless, you could always attend a meeting face-to-face with both the Principal and Assistant Principal of GRB.
Principal's Roundtable meetings take place once a month in the cafeteria beginning at 2:45 in the cafeteria. At the most recent meeting, discussions regarding Pride Club's efforts continued. Mrs. Parkhurst listened to updates about the research club members are doing to find other schools that offer electives in the area of positivity and inclusion, so that sometime in the future GRB might be able to expand to offer these electives here.
Mrs. Parkhurst encouraged the students to continue the progress they have made in starting Pride Club to now include the Junior High students. Pride Club meets every Tuesday and is advised by GRB's librarian, Mrs. Scalfaro.
If you ever have a question about a certain procedure or consequence, you could go to GRB's homepage and click on the Pyramid of Interventions and find out the answer or you could read your student handbook. If you wanted to learn more about the Code of Conduct Summary, for example, you could go right to the homepage and find it.
And, of course, if you ever wanted to meet up with the Principal or Vice-Principal and have your questions answered personally, you have that opportunity every month. Mrs. Parkhurst commented that you will find her Roundtable always open for students and staff. She continually encourages you to feel comfortable to contact her with any questions or concerns by phone, e-mail, or by stopping in at the Principal’s Roundtable.
