G. Ray Bodley High School recently changed their policy with the red sheets for all student athletes. Instead of filling out the red sheets, students will now have to submit them online with a copy of their physical.
To get to the online registration questionnaire, you have to go to the Fulton City School District website and go the the athletics page. Students should click on the Register Now link for family ID registration.
School nurse Mrs. Stoutenger said, "One great thing about online registration is that it is available 24/7 and the parents and athletes can see where in the process they are of being cleared for sport participation."
This will also make it easier on the coaches, as they will not have to collect them and turn them in.
Nurse's Office Assistant Ms. Arduini said, "We feel this is a positive step for all the parents and students, having to fill out the papers together. This change also makes it easier for us to look over all the athletes' physicals without having tons of paperwork."
Track Coach Mr. Galek said, "I think it is great that we are switching the Raider Sheets to being completed online instead of paper. I think it will be easier to complete, there is no paperwork to lose, and there is a quicker turn around time so athletes won't be prevented from practicing."
Boys Soccer Coach Mr. Murray said, "I think it's about time. It should make the process more convenient and prevents "loss of sheets." The information should be viewed by the correct personnel much faster and help out the nursing staff, school doctor, student-athletes, parents, and coaching staff."
