Fulton Wrestlers Dominate Ken Haines Tournament

By Ian Bogardus

Fulton wrestling is having a very impressive season so far. The team has won three tournaments and defeated the state-ranked Massapequa team.

Fulton had five finalists in the Ken Haines tournament, which took place on December 27 and 28 at Laker Hall at SUNY Oswego. They included Dom Hoffman, Dru Walts, Cuinn Burlingham, Cam Galvin, and Ian Bogardus. Walts, Burlingham, Galvin and Bogardus all took first.

Fulton had a spectacular tournament and Coach Waldron was pleased. "Our guys had a great tournament. It was great to see five guys in the finals and to have four champions," he said.

Seven other wrestlers placed in the Top Six.

Coach Mills was pleased with the team, as well. He said, "Our team stepped up big and put 12 guys on the podium, winning the tournament handily."

Senior Cam Galvin was excited to see his teammates do such a great job. "Cuinn, myself, and Ian winning back-to-back-to-back was something special."
