GRB welcomes Mr. Brown!
Mr. Brown is new to GRB this year and so far, he’s loving it here!
“From what I’ve seen, GRB has a lot of energy and a lot of motivation,” Mr Brown said. “My students are very unique and I love them for their unique aspects they bring to the table."
Mr. Brown is really enjoying getting to know the students of GRB. “They were surprised about how young I was,” Mr. Brown said. He feels they can relate to him and they understand each other because he is younger.
Mr. Brown has wanted to teach ever since he was a junior in high school. He said, “I love Biology and in my opinion it’s the most exciting and relatable science there is.”
Working here at GRB is his first real teaching job and he hopes to stay at GRB for a long time. “I want to be able to make a positive impact,” Mr. Brown said.
Not only does Mr. Brown love working with his students, he also loves working along with his colleagues. “I love the people I work with. I learn from them and they’re all brilliant,” Mr. Brown said.
Although Mr. Brown is new to the teaching staff, he is not a brand new face at GRB. He spent time observing classrooms last year and then student-taught with Mr. Mainville for eight weeks in the spring.
"As I see so many amazing teachers leave for retirement, it's good to know we keep bringing in amazing talent, like Mr. Brown," Mr. Mainville said. "He has tremendous energy and knowledge with a dedicated love to his students and their success."
Mr. Brown said he loves music and playing his guitar and in his spare time he enjoys hiking, being outside, and gardening.
It looks like Mr. Brown is really going to make a positive impact on his students and GRB!
Welcome, Mr. Brown!
