By Breahna Boots

The boys basketball team took home a big win on Friday, December 13. The game was away and was played against South Jefferson. The score ended with a ten point lead of 68-58.

Senior Seth Grimshaw scored 30 points and junior Jack Broderick scored 15 points.

"It was a great, hard-fought win on the road. It's always hard to win, but it's especially hard to win on the road," Coach Broderick said.

Senior Seth Grimshaw scored ten points in a row to bring up the score after being down seven in the third quarter.

"When things weren't going well, we dug through," junior Marcus Shepherd said.

Shepherd scored 12 points and had six rebounds.

Senior Nolan Dexter and freshman Sam Cotton both made big plays in the fourth quarter to help take home the win.

"South Jefferson is a good, tough, strong team and it was a good test for us as we're preparing for this week where we play Auburn and Jamesville-Dewitt," Coach Broderick noted.

Auburn and Jamesville Dewitt are two of the top teams in their league.

The boys will be playing against Jamesville Dewitt on Friday, December 20 at GRB.

"We'll really need the spirit of The Tribe to help us win that game because it's going to be a hard game," Coach Broderick noted.

Good luck to the boys basketball team!
