GRB's winter sports are starting back up for the 2019-2020 school year and students and coaches are ready.

Mr. Lacey and Mrs. DeRue are excited and ready to see how the swim team is going to perform this season.

Mr. Lacey said, "I'm looking forward to winning our second Class B championship outright this year."

Last year, the swim team tied first place for the championship and Mr. Lacey seems confident Fulton will be winning the title this season.

The varsity boys and girls basketball teams are also out for big wins this season.

Coach Broderick said, "I'm ready to pull out win after win this season. We're going to have a good team with lots of talent and I'm excited to see what the boys are going to bring to the team."

"It's my favorite time of the year. We're going to have a good season this year," Mr. Lyons said.

The cheerleading team is ready to cheer on GRB's basketball players this season.

Junior Abby Lunderman noted, "Winter sports season is my favorite. The basketball games are fun and I feel like as the weather gets colder everyone is genuinely in a good mood because Christmas is coming up right after winter sports begin."

The cheer team is also really looking forward to performing at competitions that are coming up this season.

Cheer Coach Greenier said, "I'm always really excited when it comes to a new season starting up. To see all the new faces and all the talent everyone brings to the team is my favorite part of every season. As a coach, I'm ready to push my girls and boys to their greatest abilities and celebrate all the accomplishments I believe they'll achieve."

Hockey is also starting back up this season and senior Pat Galvin is ready.

"Dude, we're gonna dominate this season," he said.

Mr. Galek is really excited for indoor track.

"We love to see new faces and we've always got a strong team," he said.

The wrestling boys and coaches have been preparing for this season for a few weeks now.

Senior Cameron Galvin said, "We are looking very strong this year and we are looking to do big things.

Everyone participating in or coaching winter sports seems to be very excited. Good luck to all the teams!
