During the Covid-19 outbreak many students and staff had to leave GRB and planned to return on April 14. Now of course that date has been pushed back to May 15, leaving students wondering what else they will miss out on.
"I think the thing I'm most disappointed about missing out on is this year's Paint Night. I was supposed to lead it this year. Ever since my first year of participating in tenth grade it has always been one of my favorite events. It not only helps out the Art Club for their NYC trip, but it is so fun being able to see everyone bond over an art form regardless of skill level. Everyone always has so much fun and I'm sad we weren't able to do it my senior year," senior Kira Whitehead said.
Missing out on school events that we have an attachment to is heartbreaking, especially when it was something you have spent a lot of time preparing for, such as an audition or tryout.
"I guess what I'm really upset about missing is being in Frozen, Jr. A few months ago I was recruited to play Kristoff for the CNY arts musical, which I was really excited for, but now I have no clue if we are going to be able to perform," senior Ronde Wood said.
Even students who are enjoying the time off are disappointed to not be able to see their friends achieve their goals.
"There's not a lot that I'm missing out on. I'm more disappointed I don't get to see my senior friends do what they've been looking forward to for years," junior Emily Sohoski said.
