On May 31, the Fulton Junior High hosted the annual Fulton City School District Art Show from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Artists' work was featured from all schools in the Fulton City School District including Fairgrieve, Lanigan, Granby, Volney, the Fulton Junior High, and G. Ray Bodley High School.
This art show was different as it was not for awards or prizes, but solely to showcase the amazing talents of the Fulton City School District students. The art categories included ceramics, scratch art, paper mache, 2D, 3D, graphite, drawings, paintings, and pastel.
Senior Hailey Nugent said, “It was an honor to be recognized this year for my art achievements and to let the community and district see what hard work I have put in this year.”
Art teacher Mrs. Williams stated, “It was the best turn out in a few years. We showcased some of the highest quality artwork produced from kindergarten through twelfth grade. We thank the board of education, superintendent, and principals for coming and showing their support for the community and students.”
Senior Emily Smith said, “It was very nice seeing my own artwork at the district art show to showcase all my hard work.”
