WGRB News Airing Live Each Morning

By Ethan Abelgore

Mr. Jones is the head of the WGRB News program at GRB. This year, he decided to do something differently. Each day, the morning announcements are recorded and streamed live. First bell teachers play them for students.

Mr. Jones said, "This allows for more students to be able to see the announcements and replay them from any location." This helps students be informed about what is going on in the school.

The transition and upgrade to the news is going well. Mr. Jones noted, "Outside of our few issues, I think the students of the news are adjusting well and have been able to bring their own personal touch to the news show."

If a student attends AM CiTi, he or she will be able to check the morning announcements from earlier and stay up-to-date with events that are happening in the school. Mr. Jones said this is benefiting the school and students because "families will be able to get information as their child receives it. There is also greater communication with all groups and organizations in our school."

The new format for WGRB News is a good upgrade to communication and it allows students to access the news faster.
